Project Description
Energy efficiency upgrade retrofit scheme for local authority homes in the Limerick region. The project was funded by SEAI, Limerick County Council and Airtricity and completed within a four month period.
Project Scope
The works consisted of deep retrofit of 780 local authority houses to bring them up to a C2 BER energy rating. Each house benefitted from:
- CFL Lighting
- Energy Efficient Windows and Doors
- Attic Insulation
- Cavity Wall Insulation
- Building Energy Rating
- Upgrade of heating controls
J&M Building Services was responsible for:
- Overseeing Health & Safety compliance
- Q&A Inspections
- Liaising with all parties
- Managing subcontractors with app. 25-30 operatives
